55 ILCS 5/3-7017

Payments of salaries or wages

P.A. 86-962.

No county clerk, comptroller or other auditing officer of the county shall approve the payment of, or be in any manner concerned in paying salary or wages to any person for services as an officer or employee of the county unless such person is occupying an office or place of employment according to the provisions of law and is entitled to payment.
