A county board may create an office of Coordinator of Federal and State Aid reporting to the county board and assisting the board with development programs for which State or federal funds are or may be available and in the application for such funds. Any board choosing to establish such an office may provide for the compensation and expenses of the person appointed as coordinator and such additional office staff as the board finds necessary.
