Laying Out, Widening, Altering or Vacating Township and District Roads

  • 605 ILCS 5/6-301— All township and district roads established under this Division of this Code shall be not less than 40 feet in width, except as provided in Section 6-327
  • 605 ILCS 5/6-302— The highway commissioner of any road district may in his discretion reduce the width of any existing township or district road to a width of 40 feet, if the reduction is petitioned for by a majority of the landowners along the line of such road within the district
