610 ILCS 5/22

No such corporation shall consolidate its capital stock with any other railway owning a parallel or competing line

Known as the Railroad Incorporation Act

The act spans §§ 610-5-0-01 to 610-5-9 (31 sections).

And in no case shall any consolidation take place, except upon sixty days' notice thereof given, which notice shall be given in manner and form as prescribed in the fifteenth section of this act.
