Law enforcement

Known as the Public-Private Partnerships for Transportation Act

(a) All law enforcement officers of the State and of each affected local jurisdiction have the same powers and jurisdiction within the limits of the transportation facility as they have in their respective areas of jurisdiction. (b) Law enforcement officers shall have access to the transportation facility at any time for the purpose of exercising the law enforcement officers' powers and jurisdiction. (c) The traffic and motor vehicle laws of the State of Illinois or, if applicable, any local jurisdiction shall be the same as those applying to conduct on similar projects in the State of Illinois or the local jurisdiction. (d) Punishment for infractions and offenses shall be as prescribed by law for conduct occurring on similar projects in the State of Illinois or the local jurisdiction.
