Election laws apply when consistent

Known as the Revised Cities and Villages Act

The act spans §§ 65-20-0-01 to 65-20-21-9 (53 sections).

All laws in force in the city of Chicago governing elections for municipal offices or applicable thereto and not inconsistent with the provisions of this article, shall apply to and govern all elections held under the terms of this article.
