General Assistance Tax and Administration

  • 65 ILCS 5/11-43-1— The corporate authorities of each municipality may levy taxes for and provide general assistance for persons in need thereof as provided in "The Illinois Public Aid Code" as now or hereafter amended, in municipalities of 500,000 or more inhabitants
