Boats and Harbor Control

  • 65 ILCS 5/11-44-1— The corporate authorities of each municipality may regulate public and private water-landing places, wharves, docks, canals, slips, and levees
  • 65 ILCS 5/11-44-2— The corporate authorities of each municipality may regulate the anchorage and landing of all water craft and their cargoes
  • 65 ILCS 5/11-44-3— The corporate authorities of each municipality may license, regulate, and prohibit water craft used about the harbor, or within the jurisdiction
  • 65 ILCS 5/11-44-4— The corporate authorities of each municipality may fix the rate of wharfage and dockage
