70 ILCS 1205/8-13

In addition to the other powers and authority now possessed by it, every park district may enter into a lease for a period of not to exceed 8 years for such equipment and machinery as may be required for corporate purposes when authorized by the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the governing board of the park district.
