70 ILCS 1815/30

The governing and administrative body of the Port District is a Board of 5 members, to be known as the Illinois Valley Regional Port District Board

All members of the Board shall be residents of the District and persons of recognized ability. One member shall be a resident of Putnam County, a second member shall be a resident of LaSalle County, a third member shall be a resident of Bureau County. The other members may reside anywhere in the District. The members of the Board shall serve without compensation, but shall be reimbursed for actual expenses incurred by them in the performance of their duties. However, any member of the Board who is appointed to the office of secretary or treasurer may receive compensation fixed by the Board for services as such officer.
