Organization of Board

Known as the Upper Mississippi River International Port District Act

As soon as possible after the appointment of the initial members, the Board shall organize for the transaction of business, select a chairperson and a temporary secretary from its own number, and adopt bylaws and regulations to govern its proceedings. The initial chairperson and successors shall be elected by the Board from time to time for a term of office as provided in the District bylaws. However, such term of office shall not exceed his or her term of office as a member of the Board.
