70 ILCS 210/9

Known as the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority Act

The Authority shall have the power to procure and enter into contracts for any type of insurance and indemnity against loss or damage to property from any cause, against loss of use and occupancy, against employers' liability, against loss or damage to persons from any cause, against loss or damage caused by any act or omission of any member, officer or employee of the Board of the Authority in the performance of the duties of his office or employment, and against loss or damage to persons or property from any other insurable risk.
