Restriction on passage of ordinance and abandonment of proposed improvement

Known as the Sanitary District Act

No ordinance for any local improvement, to be paid wholly or in part by special assessment or special taxation, shall be considered or passed by the board of any district unless the ordinance is first recommended by the committee of local improvements; provided, however, that after the ordinance for any local improvement has been adopted by the board and before the same is confirmed in court, the board may by ordinance abandon any portion of the proposed improvement without further action by or hearing before the committee.
