It shall be the duty of the Board to require installation of safety glass made of safety glazing materials in all ticket fare booths where an agent is stationed and use of such material shall be required in the construction of all new ticket fare booths

The Board shall establish a program for the installation of safety glass in existing stations. Priority is to be given to booths in which agents are stationed on a 24 hour basis. Any employee of the Authority finding instances of noncompliance with the requirements of this Section may file suit against the Authority, in the appropriate court, to compel the Authority to comply. For the purposes of this Section "safety glazing materials" means any glazing materials so constructed, treated or combined with other materials as to be mar resistant and shatterproof and capable of withstanding the impact of a bullet fired from at least a medium power small arm weapon having a muzzle energy of 475 foot-pounds, a muzzle velocity of 1,280 feet per second, and which uses 130 grain ammunition.
