A Service Board may provide public transportation by operating public transportation facilities. A Service Board may enter into operating agreements with any individual, corporation or other person or private or public entity to operate such facilities on behalf of the Service Board. (Text of Section after amendment by P.A. 104-457) Sec. 2.03. Operations. A Service Board may provide public transportation by operating public transportation facilities. A Service Board may enter into operating agreements with any individual, corporation or other person or private or public entity to operate such facilities on behalf of the Service Board. Beginning in 2029, Service Boards may only provide service adhering as closely as possible to that described in the regionwide service plan most recently adopted by the Authority, in the planned scenario that is the closest to the actual revenue available for that year, except as allowed under guidance provided by the Board in the previous request for service plans as described in paragraph (4) of subsection (e) of Section 2.01f.
