Forest preserve districts created under Conservation District Act

Known as the Downstate Forest Preserve District Act

The act spans §§ 70-805-0-001 to 70-805-9 (70 sections).

Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, a forest preserve district created under Section 18.5 of the Conservation District Act shall have the same powers, duties, and authority as a forest preserve district created under this Act, except that it shall have the same bonding and taxing authority as a conservation district under the Conservation District Act.
