765 ILCS 130/1

In counties under township organization the board of trustees shall be ex officio fence viewers in their respective towns

Known as the Fence Act

The act spans §§ 765-130-0-01 to 765-130-9 (23 sections).

In counties not under township organization the presiding officer of the county board, with the advice and consent of the county board, at the annual meeting of the county board in December, shall appoint three fence viewers in each precinct, who shall hold their office for one year, and until their successors are appointed.
