765 ILCS 45/7

Known as the Destroyed Public Records Act

The act spans §§ 765-45-0-01 to 765-45-9 (24 sections).

It shall be the duty of the county board of such county, as soon as may be, to procure from the United States authorities at Washington, Springfield, or elsewhere, all maps, tract books or official entries or properly authenticated copies thereof as relate to any of the lands in such county, and cause the same to be recorded in the recorder's office of such county.
