Effect on other laws and employment benefits

Known as the Workplace Violence Prevention Act

The act spans §§ 820-275-1 to 820-275-95 (28 sections).

(a) Nothing in this Act shall be construed to supersede any provision of any federal, State, or local law, collective bargaining agreement, or employment benefits program or plan that provides employment protections for employees, including any provision under the Victims' Economic Security and Safety Act and the Illinois Human Rights Act. (b) Any other claims under the Victims' Economic Security and Safety Act against the employer may be heard as part of a civil action under this Act.
