citing decisions per year

Court decisions citing this, by year. The dip in the last several years is a data-coverage gap, not a real trend — our corpus holds fewer opinions from the most recent years, so recent citations are undercounted.

Sec. 4. (a) "Child custody determination" means a judgment, decree, or other court order providing for:

(1) legal custody;

(2) physical custody; or

(3) visitation;

with respect to a child.

(b) The term does not include an order relating to child support or other monetary obligation of a person.
