Sec. 2. Except as otherwise provided, the definitions in this article do not apply to the following:
(1) IC 31-11-3.
(2) IC 31-21 (or IC 31-17-3 before its repeal).
(3) IC 31-18.5.
(4) IC 31-19-29.
(5) IC 31-37-23.
