Ind. Code § 34-50-2-3

Sec. 3. As used in this chapter, "transfer" means a:

(1) sale;

(2) assignment;

(3) pledge;

(4) hypothecation; or

(5) any other form of alienation or encumbrance;

of structured settlement payment rights made by a payee for consideration.
