Ind. Code § 34-6-2.1-73

Sec. 73. "Food item", for purposes of IC 34-30-5, means any item that may be ingested as a normal part of the human diet. The term includes food that was prepared for serving by a food source (as defined in section 74 of this chapter) but not served by the food source.
