Ind. Code § 36-9-44.7-1

Maintenance of right-of-way owned by state

As added by P.L.227-2025, SEC.55.

Sec. 1. (a) A county may mow or maintain any grass or vegetation in a right-of-way that is:

(1) owned by the state; and

(2) located in the county;

if the county obtains a permit from the office of the Indiana department of transportation district in which the county is located.

(b) A county may not seek reimbursement from the state for the costs of any mowing or maintenance by the county under subsection (a).
