Compensation of board members

The members of the board shall receive no compensation for their services, but shall be reimbursed for all necessary expenses, including travel and subsistence, in connection with the performance of their duties as members of the board, and may be allowed a reasonable per diem for service in hearing appeals and in performance of assigned services as members of committees.
