Any licensed dentist of this state being a graduate of a reputable dental college recognized by the board shall have the right to use the title "doctor" or abbreviation thereof before his name, or appended to his name the letters "B.D.S.," "M.D.S.," "L.D.S.," "D.D.S.," "D.M.D.," or equivalent letters signifying the dental degree conferred upon him.
