Temporary license; requirements; expiration; renewal

(a) A temporary license to practice as a dietitian may be issued by the secretary upon the filing of an application, payment of the required application fee and submission of evidence of successful completion of the education requirements for licensure under this act.

(b) The temporary license shall expire six months from the date of issuance. The temporary license may be renewed for one period of not to exceed six months if the secretary determines that the applicant has failed to become licensed within the original period and if the applicant has paid the required renewal fee.
