As used in this section and KRS 158.6452, 158.6453, and 158.6455, unless the context requires otherwise:

(1) "Accountability index" means the statistic, as provided by KRS 158.6455(1), that combines a school's academic and nonacademic factors;

(2) "Core content for assessment" means the content identified for all students to know that is to be included on the state assessment; and (3) "Nonacademic factors" means the statistic that describes school success on:

(a) Increasing attendance and decreasing retention rates at the elementary school level;

(b) Increasing attendance rates and decreasing retention and dropout rates at the middle school level; and (c) Increasing attendance rates and decreasing retention and dropout rates and improving the transition to adult life at the secondary school level. Effective:April 10, 2017
