Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 1, § 10

Injury to signals, monuments, buildings, of United States; penalty

Whoever wilfully injures, defaces or removes a signal, monument, building or appurtenance erected, used or constructed under the authority of the United States shall be punished by a fine of fifty dollars, and be liable in tort to the United States for all damages so sustained.
