Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 12, § 7

Persons intruding on land, property or rights of commonwealth; prosecution

He may, if in his judgment the public interest so requires, prosecute informations or other processes against persons who intrude on the land, rights or property of the commonwealth, or commit or erect a nuisance thereon.
