Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 120, § 26

Escape; attempted escape; aiding or assisting

Whoever escapes, or attempts to escape from the department or aids or assists a child in the custody of the department to escape or attempt to escape shall be punished by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars or by imprisonment for not more than two years.
