Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 123, § 2A

Geographically-isolated communities; factors to be considered by department when contracting for services to be established by regulation

When promulgating regulations governing the contracting for services, the department shall establish within its regulations additional factors to be considered when contracting for services in geographically-isolated communities, including, but not limited to, travel and transportation, to ensure availability and access to services.
