Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, inspectors of plumbing and inspectors of gas fitting shall complete a minimum of 12 hours per year of continuing education which shall include the review and interpretation of plumbing and fuel gas codes and related codes, rules and regulations.
The examiners shall promulgate rules and regulations for the implementation and requirements of continuing education for inspectors of plumbing and inspectors of gas fitting.
