Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 143, § 72

Cinematograph booth or enclosure; necessity of inspection and approval; certificate; fire precautions

No cinematograph or similar apparatus, thirty-five millimeter or larger, involving the use of so-called safety film shall be kept or used for the purpose of exhibiting such films in or upon the premises of a public building until a booth or enclosure, which has been inspected and approved by an inspector and his certificate issued therefor, has been provided; nor until such precautions against fire as the commissioner of the division of professional licensure may specify have been taken by the owner, user, or exhibitor.
