Title of statute; construction; purpose

Known as the Unemployment Insurance Law

The act spans §§ 151–151 (136 sections).

This chapter shall be known and may be cited as the Unemployment Insurance Law, and shall be construed liberally in aid of its purpose, which purpose is to lighten the burden which now falls on the unemployed worker and his family.
