Service companies; investigation, adjustment or settlement of claims for self-insurers

A self-insurer may engage a service company, third party administrator, or like organization to investigate, adjust or settle claims under this chapter. The insurance commissioner shall promulgate regulations governing the conduct and practices of service companies, third party administrators, or like organizations.
