Prohibition against advertising as benefit corporation without full compliance with this chapter

Known as the Massachusetts Benefit Corporation Act

The act spans §§ 156–156 (16 sections).

A business corporation organized under the laws of the commonwealth shall not hold itself out as, advertise itself as, or indicate in any way that it is a benefit corporation unless it was organized under and in full compliance with this chapter.
