Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 175, § 31A

Domestic companies formed by special acts; extension of territorial limits

Domestic companies incorporated by special acts, whose charters grant authority to transact insurance within a limited or defined territory, may, notwithstanding such limitations, transact insurance anywhere outside the limits specified in the charter, subject to all general laws applicable to such companies.
