Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 231, § 59C

An action pending before the superior court which alleges malpractice, error or mistake against a physician, surgeon, dentist, optometrist, hospital or sanitarium shall, at the request of either party, be advanced by the court so that it may be heard and determined with as little delay as possible.
