Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 235, § 38

Property valued in excess of three hundred dollars; notice of sale

If the value of such property to be sold exceeds three hundred dollars, the officer shall, at the request of either party, give notice of the sale by advertisement in a newspaper as provided in the preceding section; and the sale may be made at any time after the expiration of four days, and within thirty days after seizure on execution.
