Whoever receives any proceeds of a sale of land under this chapter after having sold or mortgaged his interest therein, or with knowledge that it has been attached or liened, without disclosing such fact to the commissioners or the court, shall be punished by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars or by imprisonment for not more than one year.
