Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 32A, § 8A

Employees on leaves of absence for more than one year; insurance costs charged to employing agency

The secretary of administration and finance is hereby authorized and directed to charge all agencies for the commonwealth's share of the health insurance costs incurred on behalf of any employees of that agency who are on leave of absence for a period of more than one year and to notify the comptroller of such charges and such leaves of absence. The comptroller is hereby authorized and directed to transfer said amounts to the General Fund.
