In balloting, the voting lists furnished under section sixty-two of chapter fifty-one shall be used as check lists, and no persons shall vote or take part in a caucus whose name does not appear upon said lists, unless he presents to the presiding officer of the caucus the certificate provided for by section fifty-nine of said chapter.
