Whoever violates any provision of section one hundred and thirty-nine shall be punished by a fine of not less than one hundred nor more than five hundred dollars, or by imprisonment for not less than three months nor more than one year, or both. A conviction of any such violation shall be reported forthwith by the court or magistrate to the commissioner, who may revoke the license of any licensed person so convicted.
