Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 6C, § 65

End of term or termination of public–private agreement

Upon the end of the term of the public-private agreement or in the event of termination of the public-private agreement, the department and duties of the operator shall cease, except for any duties and obligations that extend beyond the termination as provided in the public-private agreement, and all the rights, title and interest in such transportation facility shall revert to the department and shall be dedicated to the department for public use.
