Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 74, § 42G

Delegation of powers by trustees

The trustees may, except as to duties imposed or powers granted under sections forty-two E and forty-two F, delegate their authority or any portion thereof to the president or any other officer of the college and of the institute whenever in their judgment such delegation may be necessary or desirable.
