Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 75, § 36A

Cremation and disposal of donated bodies

The University of Massachusetts medical school in Worcester may cremate the bodies of deceased persons which have been donated to said medical school and which have been used for the promotion of anatomical science, including the teaching thereof, or for any other purpose not inconsistent with chapter one hundred and thirteen, and may dispose of the ashes of such bodies by burial or other appropriate means; provided, that the remains of any bodies received pursuant to section eight of chapter one hundred and thirteen shall be subject to the terms of the donor's gift, if any.
