Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 86, § 4

Removal of encroachments

If such building, fence or other encumbrance is adjudged a nuisance and ordered to be abated, the materials may be sold at auction and the proceeds applied to the payment of the expenses of the prosecution and removal, and, if insufficient, the court may order the remainder to be raised and levied upon the property of the defendant.
