Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 93, § 16

False statement filed with commissioner

An officer or director of a mining corporation who signs any false statement filed with the state secretary under the preceding section, knowing such statement to be false, shall be punished by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars or by imprisonment for not more than two years.
