Md. Code Ann., Bus. Reg. § 14-111

In connection with a hearing, investigation, or other proceeding under this subtitle, the Commissioner may:

(1) administer oaths;

(2) receive evidence; and

(3) issue subpoenas for the attendance of witnesses to testify or to produce evidence.
